A deliberate study pace
The goal is not simply to finish faster. Use playback rate as a study tool: increase it when comprehension remains comfortable and reduce it when details start to disappear.

Drop below normal speed when you need to inspect cursor movement, commands, diagrams, or a sequence of practical steps without repeated scrubbing.
Save a named template that combines speed and volume. Per-site memory keeps your Udemy setting separate from YouTube, Coursera, and other sites.
Course workflow
UVE changes playback locally in the browser; it does not alter the course video file or your Udemy account.
Add UVE from Firefox Add-ons, open your course, and begin playback so the HTML5 player is active.
Start near normal speed and increase in small steps. Use A to slow down, D to speed up, and S to return to normal.
Keep it as your per-site preference or create a lecture template with both playback speed and volume.
Beyond playback rate
UVE can boost compatible HTML5 video above its normal level: up to 2x in Free and up to 6x in Pro. Increase gradually to avoid clipping and protect your hearing.
Explore volume boostWhen captions are available, combine them with a slower pace for technical vocabulary or non-native speech. UVE Pro also supports subtitle search and local subtitle files.
